Our legacy

In the past, our grandfathers’ durable, hard-wearing workers’ jackets were a source of pride for them. Kiplay Vintage is passionate about updating the work clothes produced in our workshops since 1921 for contemporary wardrobes. Inspired by Kiplay patterns from the time, some garments have been hand-darned just like in the old days.

Workwear-style blazer in moleskin or chevron inspired by 1920s work clothing. A timeless classic for an adventurous, cosmopolitan style. The colour blue is a nod to the “blue-collar” workers back in the day. Made in France out of : Chevron 50% - Cotton 390g/m².Details:

Chevron, a French fabric

Are you familiar with Chevron, a weaving method performed in France? Easy to recognise because of its V-shaped pattern, it is made out of cotton. It gets this distinctive appearance by weaving alternating horizontal diagonals, known as a herringbone pattern. Beyond the stylish effect this method creates, it also enhances the garment’s resistance. That’s why chevron is often used to design work clothing. What’s more, chevron garments are super-comfy to wear and easy to iron.

We can do this by harnessing the French know-how of a workshop based in Normandy.
