Our legacy

In the past, our grandfathers’ durable, hard-wearing workers’ jackets were a source of pride for them. Kiplay Vintage is passionate about updating the work clothes produced in our workshops since 1921 for contemporary wardrobes. Inspired by Kiplay patterns from the time, some garments have been hand-darned just like in the old days.

Kiplay Vintage is Wearing Pink! Iconic jacket specially for Wear It Pink in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For each Rosalie jacket purchased, €10 will be donated towards research at the François Baclesse Centre in Caen. Jacket inspired by our iconic Gaspard jacket, in Moleskin fabric inspired by 1920s work clothes.  Made in France out of: Moleskin 100% - Cotton 390g/m². Details:

Moleskin fabric

Moleskin fabric, often described as the French equivalent of American denim, offers myriad advantages. This tightly woven cotton fabric is particularly used in the manufacture of work clothes because it is hard-wearing and durable. Although likened to denim, Moleskin fabric can come in many different colours, without being limited to indigo blue.

Kiplay, just like many other brands, is working hard today to promote the craftsmanship and expertise of French production workshops. We are all eager to embrace or reconnect with production that is attentive to the smallest details and to each finish.
